MAASTRICHT. Students service company Jules will be in charge of the management of 143 studios in the Carré building on the Tongerseweg. The owner is Belgian project developer LIFE. The studios – between 23 and 38 square metres and intended for Dutch and foreign students – each have their own kitchen and bathroom. They are situated above the ground-floor shops, which include the Jan Linders supermarket and Action. They can be rented from 15 July, rents starting from 715 euro per month.
The studios in Carré are not the only property run by Jules. The company, owned by Maastricht University alumnus Karin van der Ven, is the fixed contact point for students and their neighbours at various locations around town (for rooms let by private owners). Van der Ven: “We have noticed that if we carry out the management ourselves, we are better able to guarantee the quality of housing.” Jules offers 24/7 accessibility in case of problems, disturbance or complaints.
