“I’ve just arrived from Mainz. The best moment occurred yesterday, when I met my housemates. Friendly people with an open attitude. They are all german. It’s good to live with people with the same mentality as yourself, but I definitely want to meet people from other countries. That’s why I came here, partly. I heard that 65 percent of all Maastricht students are women. I liked that, it’s good to have a strong community of women. That’s more important than the romantic aspect. What I will miss the most is my mom’s food. Especially, the Wiener schnitzel. No, that is not something that only tourists eat, Germans love it as well.”
