Interview with freshmen
Name: Josina Jansen
Time & place: Wednesday 13.00 hrs., Tapijnkazerne
What did you forgot to bring with you from your parents’ home? "My pillow. It’s not a huge problem, because I’m going home this weekend, it’s only a 1.5 hour drive. I’m planning to visit them every weekend; I’m a family person and I miss my horse."
On a scale from 0 to 10: how clean is your student house? "Now? A 7 or 8. When I moved in it was really bad, dirty stuff lying around. The former residents left the building without cleaning up their mess. Together with my housemates (three) I painted some walls and did some house work."
Still close with your INKOM group? "Yes, we have a group chat and see each other at most of the events. At the moment I’m sitting here with a group member, but I don’t know where the rest is. We have a mixed group, with English and Dutch students. I like to get to know them. We even have a girl from the Caribbean. To me it sounds like ‘paradise’, but she changed this view a bit. It’s often too hot there, she said."
Have you already decided which student association you will join? "I don’t know yet. To me – hearing from rumors about German associations – it has a negative connotation, but I don’t know if that’s true. May be I will opt for a sport club. I like to dance."
