Freshmen Inkom 2019
“Maybe I’m not a good person to interview right now, I just got stung by wasp in the face”, says Dimitar Dimitrov (18). He holds a plastic cup with ice-cold water against the side of his face. “The people from the first aid gave it to me. They said it will be fine.” Luckily he’s not too tired, he got a good night of sleep. Yesterday evening he stayed at the MECC party until two, but slept in until twelve. He arrived in Maastricht last weekend. Together with his parents he drove all the way from Bulgaria. He is going to study European Law School. “I wanted to go to Maastricht because of the international ambiance. And to be very honest: also because it’s a lot cheaper than the universities in England.” Dimitrov is primarily going to miss the food of his home country, Banica in particular. “That’s a typical Bulgarian type of bread, with cheese. It’s so good, you should Google it.”
Why did they come to Maastricht, what did they know about the city, do they like the Inkom and was it easy to find a room? Observant wandered around the Inkom and asked the first-years all about it.
