MAASTRICHT. The new collective health insurer CZ accommodates UM employees who live abroad now that it appears that this group (371 in Belgium, 102 in Germany) never received a letter with information in December. The foreign postal codes accidentally ended up on the ‘do not mail me’ list, as was discovered by the health insurer today after questions asked by Observant.
CZ (supposedly the foreign specialist) then decided that UM employees who live abroad and were already insured with them, could still transfer to the collective insurance with the accompanying reductions. Cross-border workers insured elsewhere who express their intention to switch to CZ as of January 2015, will receive the premium difference between their present insurer and CZ on their bank accounts in 2015. This was confirmed by Hay Manders, deputy director of Human Resources Management at the UM. “CZ is keen to accommodate them. Employees will receive a letter on the subject as soon as possible.”
