There is always a lot going on in Maastricht in the evenings. Parties at the Muziekgieterij, yoga in the Mandril, Studium Generale lectures, a vegan cooking workshop, exhibitions in the B32, student associations’ anniversary parties; plenty of choice. So much choice in fact that it is sometimes difficult to keep tabs on exactly what’s going on. Fortunately, the mobile activities diary WhatsNEXT does that for you.
The WhatsNEXT app focuses entirely on Maastricht students (it was also set up by four of them) and offers a useful overview of all sorts of activities taking place in the city. The events and activities are divided into four categories: leisure, culture, party, and education, and in each of these categories there is a wide selection. You can either select one of these categories in the app or the general calendar, where you can see all activities in sequence. If you see something that looks like fun, you can add it to your ‘favorites’ so that you can easily find it again. In addition, there is the easy-to-use option for adding your own (public) events to the app using the site whatsnextevent.de.
