Just enter the habit that you want to rid yourself of or teach yourself, into the app. Then indicate how often you were successful in adhering to your new resolution, every day (or every week, depending on the frequency of the activity). The app reminds you of this with announcements.
You can decide for yourself how long you want to keep it up, but the makers advise you to try for at least 66 days. By that time, your routine should have changed. If you have a physical aim, you can link the app to Google Fit, which tracks how long the user has walked, run or cycled. This data is then passed on to HabitBull.
You can enter up to a hundred habits, so anyone planning a complete makeover is on to a good thing. In that case, however, you would have to pay €2.99, in the free version you are limited to five.
