Dutch students with a Bachelors degree tend to stay where they are. Most of them do not choose to do a Masters study at another university or abroad, but stay where they are. Only a handful of students (about 6 per cent) who started a Masters study in 2006 and 2007, did so at another Dutch university. This does not mean that there are hardly any new faces in the Masters studies. But those come in particular from schools of higher professional education (just over 21 per cent in 2006 and in 2007) and from abroad (around 11 per cent in 2006 and 2007).
