Next week, the annual Ragweek will be organised by the Ragweek Foundation. This foundation is run by students and organises all kinds of activities to raise money for charity. On the agenda is a sports day, among other events, and a cultural festival on Wednesday evening in cooperation with Studium Generale. In both the Kumulus theatre and the Huis van Bourgondië several stages will be set up where the visitor can enjoy performances by musicians, comedians, actors and dancers. Films as well as artworks will be shown.
Because every good festival should have ‘things to do’, the Cultural Rag Festival offers massages, lotteries and foods and drinks in several tents and bars. Students who would like to take part can contact the Studium Generale office. The money raised during the festival (and the other activities during Ragweek) will be given to the Dutch organisation Samen Spelen (playing together) in Maastricht and the international organisation Bachi Amaa in Nepal.
