Just before the summer, Observant launched its new website www.observantonline.nl. From today, this website will regularly feature short film clips. The first six are - of course - about the Inkom 2009. In addition, eight bloggers - both students and employees - will create a weblog in Dutch and English, updated every week. One of them is German first-year student of psychology Janice Kalagi. She took a crash course in Dutch and is bold enough to write a weblog about her experiences as a first-year student in Maastricht in that language. Our home cooks Denise Vilerius and Margot Krijnen will cater for foreign students who wish to become acquainted with Dutch cuisine. A new Dutch recipe every week. Scientist Vera Blau - born in Germany, trained in Maastricht - will write (in English) about her experiences as a researcher in Nashville (USA). Every week, UCM student Marie Zwetsloot will let us know about her life as an exchange student in Ecuador.
In the paper version, page 6 will include a weekly column entitled Grüβe aus Holland, in which a German student will be interviewed. A recurring question will be: "Met any Dutch students recently?" Also new is a column about English books.
