Studium Generale on Twitter

Katrin Henss explains the reason why Studium Generale can be found on Twitter: “to give Studium Generale a face.” Twitter is a free online service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. A tweet can be up to 140 characters. Studium Generale uses Twitter to give its 100 followers updates about their activities. “Tonight, for example, at the Comedy Night, I will take pictures of the performers arriving and the preparations backstage,” says Henss. Colleague Jaap Janssen adds: “When we find a good speaker to give a lecture, we can put it online immediately. It’s something extra, an addition to the normal programme that you can find on our website.”
