Next month, Maastricht will have one Christian student association: Lux ad Mosam. The two Christian student associations - Navigators and Ichthus - decided at the beginning of this year to merge and continue as one. Ichthus chairperson and law student Sanne Salverda: “We had our own elections on the same day as the local elections, 3 March. Our members had a month to submit suggestions for a new name. That evening, the votes went to Lux ad Mosam. As an association, we hope to be a light for students, a place where they can express their faith, develop themselves and enjoy their time as students. In the Bible, Christians are referred to as the light of the world.” Lux ad Mosam will be officially founded on 14 April. The association is still working on a new logo.
