Your Spanish is as good as your German is bad. But you still want to study business administration in Berlin for half a year. What to do? Strike a deal with a German student who wants to learn Spanish! This can be done on the SBE student council website, accessible via Eleum. The new initiative of students of economics and business administration is called Intercambio.

“It is very easy to use,” says Suzan van Zutphen, student member of the Faculty Board. “You sign up on the forum and agree to meet at the faculty or in the pub. It is killing two birds with one stone: you learn a foreign language and you come in contact with students from other cultures. It is one of the faculty measures to create an SBE community, just like the meet & greet drinks.”

Intercambio is not meant to replace the (fully booked) courses at the Language Centre. “It would be ideal to arrange a meeting with another student while you are taking a language course.”
