'Change Weeks', Mr. and Mrs. Murphy and street concerts

Mr and Mrs Murphy are not that pleasant to visit at Christmas. They’re grumpy and stern and when everything goes wrong they only have each other to blame. On 21, 22, 28, 29 and 30 December, actors Wanda Eyckerman and Roel Swanenberg (known from the play Alone in the World), will bring these speechless characters alive in the Theater aan het Vrijthof. Tickets cost €10 and are available at www.theateraanhetvrijthof.nl.

Make use of your last chance to get to know the students of Maastricht’s Acting Academy. During the last days of the ‘Change weeks’, you can attend several performances free of charge. For more information about the plays, please visit www.toneelcacedemie.nl.

Did you know Magical Maastricht means more than just decorated streets, an overdose of food stands and longer opening hours? On Sunday 19 December you’ll get the opportunity to experience its cultural side thanks to the many concerts in the city centre. Samba band Passa Tempo will get you swinging in the Bijenkorf, a fancy-dress organ player will brighten up the Kesselskade and the Vocal Group Odeon will sing its carols in the Selexyz bookshop.
