Live & Die Like a Lion, debate on immigration and Oleta Adams

Live & Die Like a Lion? is the name of the first Dutch exhibition on the American painter Leon Golub. From 22 January until 25 April, Het Domein museum in Sittard will be showing about fifty drawings made between 1999 and the artist’s death in 2004. Although he is mainly known as a painter, these drawings form the core of Golub’s oeuvre. For more information, please visit

Should immigrants be forced to integrate into society? On Friday 4 February, from 19.00 until 21.00, various experts will answer this question and others in a panel debate on immigration in Europe. The discussion will take place in the Aula at Minderbroedersberg 4–6. Speakers include Roland Schneider (of the Dutch right-wing party Leefbaar Rotterdam) and Hasret Karacuban (from the German left-wing party Die Grünen). The discussion will be chaired by dean Rein de Wilde. Admission is free.
