Students are going to help residents living in the neighbourhood of the A2 submitting complaints or claiming damages

Students from the Maastricht Faculty of Law are going to help residents living in the neighbourhood of the A2 - the motorway that runs through the city and which is to be tunnelled in the coming years - submitting complaints or claiming damages. The students will give impartial and free advice; they will find out the right procedures for claiming damages and whether it is feasible to go to court.

In the meantime, Professor Onno van Schayck, director of the Caphri research institute, is criticising the fact that the polluted air from the tunnel will not be filtered. The government has discarded his scientific recommendations.
