The Maastricht University Language Centre is now permitted to call itself a Cambridge ESOL Preparation Centre.
This means that the institute “produces high quality and has a good pass rate”, says Clive Lawrence, coordinator of the Cambridge courses in Maastricht.
Cambridge ESOL is part of the University of Cambridge and organises English programmes all over the world, and its recommendation of the Language Centre “shows to external people our excellent level of training and teaching”. The Language Centre prepares candidates for Cambridge exams in the English language, such as the First Certificate in English or the Certificate in Advanced English.
The UM Language Centre is not the only ESOL preparation centre in the Netherlands. But as Lawrence points out: “It’s the only one in Limburg.”
