Popronde
There’ll be music all over town in Maastricht this weekend. Along with the Tuna festival, the Popronde (pop music round) will also take place, with dozens of bands playing at various cafés and clubs on Friday 23 September. The Popronde is a travelling festival that gives upcoming bands a chance to play for a bigger audience; well-known bands like Racoon and Go Back to the Zoo got their start here. All performances are free of charge. For more information, please visit www.popronde.nl
MusicChicks2Mix
If you’re more into jazz, country or blues, the Magisch Theatertje is the place to be. On Saturday 24 September, the cross-over festival MusicChicks2Mix will be held here. Bands like The Family Guys (jazz), Wallonaise (country) and 2 Feel (ballads) will be performing both solo and together, starting from 16.00.
