Wise lessons for entrepreneurs from Dutch theatre producer Albert Verlinde
“Keep your eyes on the sky! The sky is the limit. You will see that the sky is constantly changing. The market does the same. Stay alert!”
This wise lesson for entrepreneurs was given by Dutch theatre producer Albert Verlinde, one of the eleven speakers at the ‘Entrepreneurship: Crossing Boundaries’ conference. The speeches were to serve as inspiration for students, gathered in the St. Jans church last Tuesday. In addition to Verlinde they were able to gain information from among others Annemarie van Gaal, co-founder of Russia’s largest publishing company, and Guido Dieteren, founder of an orchestra.
Other lessons from Verlinde included: remain true to yourself, do not to put all of your eggs in one basket and make sure to have several irons in the fire, renew yourself, stay open-minded and optimistic.
The congress, organised by the Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship and study association Scope 3MA, was part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which takes place every year in November in more than 120 countries.
