Not even a goldfish
I really miss my pets. We have one dog, Wacky, and three cats; Simba, Cleo and Socks. Socks is called that because of his white paws. He’s the youngest and very playful. The other ones are quite old; Wacky is eight and the cats nine and ten. We’ve always had pets, ever since I was born, so it’s really weird not to have any here. My landlord wouldn’t permit it, not even a goldfish. If I could have a pet here, it would be a cat. I like how they do whatever they want. They don’t chew everything like our dog used to do when he was a puppy and you don’t have to take them for walks.
Smells like chocolate
When I come back from England, I always bring food with me. Especially chocolate and beer and sometimes cakes you can only get in England. I used to work in a chocolate shop, so I always get lots of stuff there. It was a nice job; I came home smelling like chocolate. It’s not like the food and beer here aren’t good, but it tastes better when it’s from home. I really miss having a fish and chips shop here too. You can eat fish and fries of course, but it’s not the same.
