The next Mix and Mingle will be a bit more active than students are used to. Mix and Mingle parties are organised every few months as a chance for international students to get together. This time, the event is being organised together with UM Sport. “It all started with an article in Observant about the International Classroom”, says Netty Bekkers, PR manager of UM Sport. “There was hardly any mention of sports as a way of getting international students to integrate, but I think we could play a big role. So I talked to some people and this is the result.”
During the sports Mix & Mingle Sports Night, which will take place on Friday 2 March in the Sports Centre Randwyck, students can try out different sports like zumba, football, unihockey and spinning, and relax at the (alcohol-free) bar. If there are enough registrations, a small badminton tournament will also be held. Entrance is €5.
