Mission Statements

Architect and film maker Jord den Hollander filmed daily life in four Dutch embassies in Paramaribo (Surinam), Berlin (Germany), Maputo (Mozambique) and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). What these embassies have in common is their exceptional buildings. The film Mission Statements: the architecture of Dutch diplomacy will be shown at Naim/Bureau Europe at the Avenue Céramique 226 on Saturday 28 April at 20.00. Den Hollander will be present to give an introduction and answer questions from the audience. Admission is free.

The Kyteman Orchestra

Trumpet players usually don’t make it into the top 40 of the pop charts, but Kyteman had hit after hit in 2009 with his ‘hiphop orchestra’. Instead of exploiting this success, he disbanded the orchestra and started all over again. The result is a new album and a tour with a different orchestra – with both old and new faces. On Saturday 21 April they will play in the Parkstad Limburg Theatre in Heerlen. The concert starts at 20.30. For tickets, please visit
