There are still some day tickets left for Pinkpop, the three-day pop festival in Landgraaf on 25, 26 and 27 May. Only the Monday – with headliner Bruce Springsteen – is sold out. The programme for Saturday and Sunday also includes big names like Soundgarden, The Cure, Linkin Park, The Ting Tings, Anouk and Babylon Circus. Tickets cost €80 and are available at www.pinkpop.nl. Low on cash? Every year people gather on the hills near the Pinkpop area. They’re not front-row seats, but you’ll be able to hear the music.
Student drama association Alles is Drama will show the classical Greek comedy Lysistrata on 31 May and 1 and 2 June. Lysistrata tells the story of a group of women who are tired of their men fighting in the Peloponnesian war and decide to go on a sex strike until the war is over. As the men grow increasingly desperate, the women get more powerful. The play will be in English and starts at 21.00 in the Onbevlekt Hart van Maria church.
