The Green Office has received the oikos Student Leadership Award. This award is given to outstanding student projects or campaigns contributing to a sustainable campus and encouraging other students to start their own initiatives. Ulrich Scharf of the Green Office accepted the award on Wednesday at the award ceremony at the University of Oregon in Eugene, USA. The award is granted by the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN), a network of leading universities in the field of sustainable campuses (e.g. Yale, Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge) in cooperation with oikos, an international student organisation engaged in sustainable economics and management. The winner of the award can attend the oikos Winter School, a coaching week for beginning social entrepreneurs, taking place in Berlin. Last year the award went to Cornell University.
