MUSL problems fading away

There are virtually no problems concerning the timetable for the second block period, says the new Chief Information Officer René Kocken. As of this week he is also responsible for MUSL, the new student information and registration system.

Kocken made this statement during his last meeting of the faculty council at the FHML, where he has been a director for numerous years. What happened with the timetables for the first period was “dramatic”, he stated, “but the problems are as good as solved now”. Not completely, however, because some complications might arise with the start of the third block period. This is mostly because the Department of Medicine, Kocken says, did not tailor its timetables to the general UM model, like every other faculty. Hence, when the department makes its next timetable public, all other timetables within UM will be public as well, although they are only drafts at that stage. Kocken: “Students will consider them as definitive and then we will be in trouble again.”
