UPDATE: University Library closes its doors, all UM buildings closed for students and staff as of 16 March.
MAASTRICHT. Maastricht University has closed its doors for students with effect from 16 March. This includes the University Library. All education activities will be online for the time being. Mass exams have been cancelled. These are the measures published by the Executive Board in its latest update.
Staff should in principle work from home. Anyone who has pressing reasons to come to work, is asked to maintain a safe distance from others. If such staff prefers not to travel by public transport because of the rule of social distancing, they may come by car and park free of charge: the barriers will be open or can be opened using the UM Card.
The University Library is also closed for researchers.
