Three women to lead FASoS

Three women to lead FASoS

Fasos Weekly

MAASTRICHT. The new Faculty Board at Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS) consists completely of women. This has never happened before at Maastricht University. Moreover, all three have foreign nationalities.

The new board, which will be operational from 1 September 2020, is therefore also the most international at the UM so far. It will be chaired by dean Christine Neuhold (Austria), professor of EU Democratic Governance and director of the UM Campus Brussels. Professor Sally Wyatt (Canada) – who is professor of Digital Cultures and was a founder of the bachelor’s of Digital Society that started in September 2019 – will be responsible for research, while Dr. Giselle Bosse (Germany), who specialises in EU External Relations and is director of the research master’s of European Studies, will be responsible for education.

They will replace Sophie Vanhoonacker (dean), Jessica Mesman (education) and Thomas Conzelmann (research) in the new academic year.
