Head stuck in railings

MAASTRICHT. A twenty-year-old foreign student from Maastricht had his head stuck in a railing for hours during the night from Wednesday to Thursday last week. It happened on the site of the Sappi paper mill on the Biesenweg in Maastricht. A security guard saw on the security camera how a guy was wrestling with the gate at approximately 5:30 hrs. The fire brigade freed the student by sawing through the gate, after which he was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Later that day, the police reported that he was no longer in a critical state. He didn’t remember anything about the incident; he had had too much to drink. The police suspect that he had an awkward fall, landing with his head between the bars.
