Heritage Days

10-09-2009

If you haven’t done any sightseeing yet, this is your chance. On the Heritage Days (Open Monumentendag) on 12 and 13 September, historical buildings and sites around Maastricht will be open to the public free of charge. Many locations will also organise activities like exhibitions, music and guided tours. In Maastricht, twelve locations are participating, such as Fort Sint Pieter at the Luikerweg 80, and the Sint Janschurch at the Henric van Veldekeplein 1. You can find the full list of participating locations on the website www.openmonumentendag.nl. If you want to know which activities have been planned, you can pick up a programme from the tourist office at Kleine Straat 1.

It will be a busy weekend for the culture lover in Maastricht: Het Parcours, the opening of the cultural season, will take place at the same time, with plays, concerts and exhibitions held all over town. Check out the programme at www.hetparcours.nl
