26 percent more master’s applications

25-08-2010

The popularity of master’s programmes in Maastricht is growing strongly, having received 26 percent more applications than last year (5633 in total). The number of bachelor’s applications is also on the rise, but by a somewhat less dramatic 6 percent, reaching a total of 11,201.

In 2010, all Dutch universities together count 42,500 newcomers among their total students, slightly more than in 2009.

However, the application figures as at 22 August are preliminary. The definitive figures, which will become available at the end of September, will make clear exactly how many students have chosen Maastricht University.
