Katherine C. Bassil

Katherine C. Bassil is a second year Research Masters student in Cognitive and Clinical Neurosciences, specialized in Fundamental Neurosciences at Maastricht University. Throughout my academic studies, I have come to develop critical thinking as a skill, especially when it involved topics that I had to deal with on a daily basis. And it is of my experience that the value of an idea or thought is only greater when shared. This is why I have decided to make the most sense of my thoughts by writing them down and sharing them with those who possess a similar critical attitude, who are hungry for knowledge or simply interested in Neurosciences. Inspired by professors, family, friends and myself, I will discuss what matters to me in Neurosciences from several angles.

Why we should talk more about the ethics of Neurosciences

Why we should talk more about the ethics of Neurosciences

Neuroscience affects everyone. That is why the long-term ethical questions it raises, should be discussed more broadly, says Neuroscience master student Katherine Bassil.
