MAASTRICHT. Mariëlle Heijltjes will be the new dean of the School of Business and Economics. She succeeds Peter Møllgaard, who had his last day last Friday. However, Heijltjes will not start until the new academic year, on 1 September. She is currently on sabbatical, to "read, reflect, write and rest," she writes in her automatic email reply. In the meantime, professor of marketing and former dean Jos Lemmink is guarding the fort.
Heijltjes is professor of managerial behavior and director of the SBE institute UMIO, the commercial branch of the SBE that organizes management education and courses for professionals. Previously, as vice dean within the faculty, she was responsible for internationalization and strategic development, and education.
