As of Sunday, 642 teams were competing for the victory at a hotel in the American city. The four Maastricht students represented the Netherlands, having previously won the national round of the competition in international law in Amsterdam.
The Filipino delegation took the win this year. Last year, the top prize did go to the Netherlands, then represented by the team from the University of Amsterdam. It is not yet known in which place the Maastricht team finished. The students did not want to speak to Observant about their experiences.
