Firstly, I am dumbfounded by the conspiracy of genocide that has followed Israel for decades at this point, all the while the Palestinian population in Israel proper, the West Bank and Gaza have continued to increase . On the other hand, Christian and Jewish populations in the rest of the middle east as a whole have plummeted off a cliff over the last 70 years.
Secondly, I am simply amazed that you do not have the decency to mention Hamas even once. With this omission you have said it all. To put it simply, you enable terrorism and the death of more Palestinians and Israeli’s by shying away from the most brutal and cynical aspects of this conflict.
If you want to keep acting like the Palestinians have no agency and are only victims, you are doing them a disservice because nothing will change from it. If voting and supporting a terrorist group simply does not matter in the eyes of Palestine supporters, then they will forever be led by people who literally say, "we love death like Israelis love life". If you are led by such people, how can you expect anything different? A point I see made often nowadays is that Israel is creating a new generation of terrorists via their current actions in Gaza. This again takes ALL agency and responsibility away from the Palestinians. It again ignores the twisted jihad mindset that these poor kids are raised to believe in, many times working directly with UNWRA a UN agency overflowing with antisemitism. This again acts like no other people or nation in this world has ever been swept up in a fanatic movement and recovered into a normal society (See Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan).
I can make this letter ten times longer and make sure to include all the evidence to show how unsound your logic and evidence is. They do not build bomb shelters for their people; even worse they build tunnels that can serve the same purpose and deny the citizen's access. Hamas operates in schools ,mosques , UN buildings , etc. They take water pipes and use them for rockets instead . I could go on but frankly war is hell and this is incredibly depressing, seeing as you people are all supposedly "educated" and still think like this it is simply not worth it. I will instead guide you to UNWatch which sheds some light on the sheer lies and double standards that litter this conflict.
Even if we take the words of the Gaza ministry of health, run by Hamas, at face value the civilian to combatant ratio is much less severe than almost any war throughout history. While any civilian death in war is a tragedy you must recognize that it is made much worse now in Gaza when fighting in cramped cities while Hamas terrorists fight in civilian clothes. I challenge you to find three examples of urban warfare with civilian to combatant ratios less than 3:1, the only worthwhile example I could find was the battle of Mosul.
Realize this above all else: I do not want Palestinians to suffer, I want two states because it is the only viable and moral long-term solution. Parroting the lines of terrorists such as Hamas and not acting like they are the real problem brings everyone further away, not closer to this solution.
I will end with a quote from former Israeli prime minister Golda Meir, one that is blunt and hard not just to read but believe. I hope you people really think about this quote and also realize that while many Israeli's do believe this quote we wish it wasn't true: “There will be peace with the Arabs once they love their children more than they hate us”.
Some leaders came to that realization and made peace with Israel, lets all hope that one day Palestinian leaders come to the same realization.
