Since Monday morning, about twenty activists occupied the balcony and the corridor of a building where lectures were held, writes news medium Resource. They demanded that the university cut ties with the fossil fuel industry.
At around 12:30 AM there were still fifteen activists left. They were asked to leave the building, NOS reports. Some of them were dragged out by the police, which according to the End Fossil WUR action group was 'disproportionately violent'. No one has been arrested.

The board writes in a statement that it has spoken several times with the demonstrators on Monday. The invitation to continue the conversation after the occupation was said to have been declined by the activists.
