On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September, the Markt in Maastricht will form the stage for the festival Bruis. Saturday is pop and rock day, with the Belgium band dEus set to take the spotlight. This will be one of only few performances that they will give in the Netherlands this summer. Sungrazer, Oi Va Voi and the Dudes will also be present. On Sunday, the theme will be world music and the headliner Babylon Circus. Apart from the music performances, there will also be a market and workshops.
In Heerlen, you can visit the final days of the 20th Cultura Nova festival. This festival presents a varied programme of film, music, theatre and exhibitions. On Saturday 4 September, the French collective Plasticiens Volants will hold a parade through the city centre. Plasticiens Volants is highly acclaimed for its enchanting productions with gigantic, inflatable fairytale puppets. They will be accompanied by the marching bands Koninklijke Harmonie Heerlen and Schutterij Sebastianus Klimmen.
